๐Ÿฒ What We Do

Child Health & Nutrition

No child should suffer from malnutrition or poor health. We strive to ensure that every child, regardless of their socio-economic background, has access to essential healthcare services, proper nutrition, and medical care to build a healthier future.

The Challenge

Hunger Is Not Just
About Food

Malnutrition doesn't just cause physical weakness โ€” it damages cognitive development, weakens immunity, and traps entire families in a cycle of poverty. A hungry child can't concentrate in class, can't play with friends, and can't dream of a better future.

In the districts where ACD operates, many families survive on less than one proper meal a day. Seasonal unemployment, crop failures, and rising food prices push vulnerable communities deeper into food insecurity โ€” hitting children and elderly the hardest.

Our Approach

How ACD Fights
Hunger on the Ground

We don't just distribute food โ€” we build community-driven nutrition ecosystems that can sustain families long-term.

01

Community Kitchens

We operate daily community kitchens in high-need slum areas, serving fresh, hot, and nutritionally balanced meals to children, pregnant women, and the elderly.

02

Large-Scale Food Drives

During festivals and crisis periods, we organize massive food distribution drives reaching thousands of daily wage earners and homeless individuals across the city.

03

Family Ration Kits

For families struggling with extreme poverty, we provide monthly dry ration kits containing rice, dal, flour, cooking oil, and spices to ensure food security at home.

04

Child Nutrition Focus

We run specialized nutrition programs for severely malnourished children, providing them with fortified foods and regular health monitoring until they reach a healthy weight.

05

Farmer Partnerships

We source a significant portion of our ingredients directly from local farmers, ensuring fresh quality for our kitchens while supporting the rural agricultural economy.

06

Nutrition Awareness

Our volunteers conduct workshops with mothers on how to prepare low-cost, high-nutrition meals using locally available ingredients to prevent long-term malnutrition.
